Figenschou publishing is a children’s books company established in 2013 by Anitra Figenschou. Figenschou publishes around 10 titles a year and publishes both picture books, non-fiction books and illustrated novels for children.

Figenschou publishing works with very talented Norwegian authors and illustrators. The publisher stands out from many other publishers by using children as test readers during the development of scripts and illustrations. Only in this way can we be sure that the books will engage the young readers. We aim to publish books that are entertaining, has high quality and can travel cross borders.

Figenschou are the proud publisher of The Story Orchestra books from the UK, Shel Silverstein’s classic children's book The Giving Tree from the US, the iconic Butt Detective from Japan and the funniest Mo Willems book of Elephant and Piggie and Pigeon, to name a few.
