This book is about the fear children feel when their parents are ill. And it is about healing.
The story takes place in Karasjok. It is the Saami National Day, and a woman is going to come to the village. A boy named Issát has heard that she is a healer. He wants to meet her and give her a gift. He has heard that she has helped many children. Issát's father is ill, and Issát wants to ask her if she can help him, so he can go to the mountain with his father again.
