Nine-year-old Mattis Lindkvist returns from a summer road trip with an unexpected passenger in the car boot: a small troll called Leo. When a group of daring teenagers who dive from the ten-metre tower take an interest in Leo, Mattis sees his chance to make new friends. Pretending Leo is a “diving troll” feels like a good idea at the time. The problem is that no one knows if trolls can swim.

Never, Ever Take a Troll to a Diving Tower is the first book in a humorous, fully illustrated series for children aged 6–9 about friendship, loyalty and the difficult choices that come with wanting to belong. Illustrated by Kristoffer Kjølberg, the books combine warmth, suspense and visual comedy.

He has written a wide range of drama and comedy series for television, and he also has a strong passion for writing for children. He is best known as the creator of Side by Side (Side om Side), which is considered NRK’s most-watched comedy series of all time. He has also written Heart to Heart (Hjerte til Hjerte) and The Superhero School (Superheltskolen).
