NATIONALTHEATER SUBWAY STATION: Norway’s newly appointed Minister of Development is seriously injured in what could be a terrorist attack.
A few weeks later, Liv Eriksson is called in for a confidential meeting at the central police station. She learns that Dawit, a young friend and refugee from Eritrea, has been drawn into a criminal gang. When the minister was attacked, Dawit was nearby, together with the charismatic gang leader Yonas.
The attack on the minister remains a mystery for the investigators. Does the solution lie in what the media is calling the ‘gang connection’? Liv is in a race against time to prove Dawit’s innocence and rescue him from Yonas’s grip. A suspicion leads Liv to travel to Haiti in search of answers. Too late, she realizes she is also reopening old wounds, and she is forced to mobilize all her resources to save herself and others.
