Jaro grows up in Oslo in a family ruled by rigid honor codes. Brilliant and defiant, he refuses to submit to his father’s demands and to control his younger sister. For that, he is threatened and cast out.

Terje Bjøranger

Terje Bjøranger has worked with honour crimes his whole profesional life. First in child welfare services, then for many years in the police, and now as a lawyer in the The National Criminal Investigation Service. Bjøranger debuted in 2010 with The Third Sister. His series includes five other titles, all praised for their relevance and sharp social commentary.
