The Loser

Jaro grows up in Oslo in a family ruled by rigid honor codes. Brilliant and defiant, he refuses to submit to his father’s demands and to control his younger sister. For that, he is threatened and cast out.

Cut off from family and belonging, Jaro’s sharp mind finds another use. He rises within a criminal network that offers power instead of loyalty, and soon his influence reaches deep into European society. As violence escalates and the past closes in, escape may no longer be possible.

The Loser is the sixth novel in the Charlie Robertsen series, drawing on the author’s firsthand experience with honor-based violence.
