Birgitte Rustad Wegener (b. 1978) studied film and literature and has worked as a television screenwriter since 2008, on series including Helt perfekt, Superheltskolen, and Unge lovende. She is a member of the Norwegian Dramatists’ Union and completed the author program at the Norwegian Institute for Children’s Books (NBI) in 2023. Jonas Eide Walks on Water is her debut novel. Wegener was born in London and now lives in Oslo.
