I Love Rocks
On Penguins, Diamonds and the Meaning of Life

There’s one thing every child owns—tucked away in a backpack, under the bed, in a pocket, on a windowsill… or in the washing machine. A rock. We all love rocks. And humans have loved them for thousands of years. Why? Stones and rocks can be used for all sorts of things. And what is a rock, really?

In this book, you can find gemstones, hopscotch stones, moonstones, rune stones, gravestones, mystical stones, skipping stones, and kidney stones. Not to mention all the people named Stone!

With a warm sense of humour and a genuine respect for young readers, Kristin Storrusten tells the story of our rocky fascination—brought to life by Victoria Sandøy’s vibrant and playful illustrations.
