Claudia Valeria Letizia is a literary translator from Norwegian, Danish and English into Italian. After attending the School for Interpreters and Translators in Trieste and graduating in English and Danish at Rome University, in 1983 she began working as a full-time translator, mainly on fiction and art books, for publishers such as Adelphi, Marsilio, Mondadori, E/O, L’Ippocampo, Electa, Rizzoli, Sinnos, and Sonzogno, amongst others. She’s been part of the National Geographic Italia group of translators for 20 years and translates from Norwegian and Danish since 2013. Besides her scouting and translating in the field of Scandinavian literature for children and young adults, she has been one of the facilitators at the Nordic-Italian “Viceversa” and “Laboratorio Nordico” workshops.
