Sara Culeddu is an Associate professor in Scandinavian Literature and Languages at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and a translator of Scandinavian literature.
She has been a Temporary Researcher at the University of Florence, at the Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici in Rome and at the University of Trento.
She has published the monograph Uomo e Animale: identità in divenire. Incontri metamorfici in Fuglane di Tarjei Vesaas e in Gepardene di Finn Carling (2013, Humans and Animals: becoming identities. Metamorphic encounters in The Birds by Tarjei Vesaas and The Cheetahs by Finn Carling), she has written several academic articles in the field of Nordic and Comparative Literature, and she has contributed to the Storia delle Letterature Scandinave. Her research interests include Environmental Humanities, Human-animal Studies, and Translation and Reception Studies.
