Sandra Ljubas

Sandra Ljubas, PhD. Born in Pforzheim (Germany) in 1992, completed her MA in German and Scandinavian studies at the University of Zagreb and wrote her PhD thesis on machine translation at the University of Zadar. She has received several grants to study and work on her research and translation projects in Germany, Austria, Sweden and Denmark and attended a number of translation workshops. Since 2018, she works as a freelance literary translator and translates from Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and German into Croatian. She has authored numerous research articles in linguistics and translation studies, and is a full member of the Croatian Literary Translators’ Association.
