I’m a literary and commercial translator and editor working from Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk) and Danish into English. Originally from a village near Stoke-on-Trent, I spent six years moving back and forth between the UK and Hardanger before settling in Edinburgh, Scotland. I hold an MA(Hons) in Scandinavian Studies and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies from the University of Manchester. I received the National Centre for Writing’s Emerging Translator Mentorship in 2019, through which I was mentored by Kari Dickson. Prior to setting out as a translator and editor, I worked in a variety of industries, including pharmacy, the library services, teaching, publishing, childcare, retail, hospitality and farming and have been putting those experiences to good use translating a diverse range of commercial and literary texts.
The full list of my translated works and passion projects can be found on my website.
