Meike Blatzheim was born in North-Rhine Westphalia in 1985. As a child, she dreamed of becoming an author, as a student, she dreamed of becoming a journalist. She studied Creative Writing and Journalism at the University of Hildesheim and the University of Bergen and fell in love with the Nordic countries. Thus, when starting her career, she dreamed of becoming a translator - but became an editor of Children’s literature first. In 2019 she decided to follow her dream and is now working with literature on a number of different levels: as translator, editor and writing coach.
