Luca Taglianetti is a translator of Nordic literature. Since 2012 he has been an honorary member of the Asbjørnsenselskapet. He edited the first full translation of Huldreeventyr P. Chr. Asbjørnsen (2020) and Norske folkesagn by Andreas Faye (2014). He has also translated a Norwegian ballad of medieval origin Åsmund Frægdegjæva (2016), and a selection of Faroese fairy tales (2018). He participated as a speaker in the last three editions of the Italian Conference on Scandinavian Studies (2013-2017-2023) and held a series of seminars on Nordic literature at the universities of Rome, Milan and Naples. In recent years he has been working on late nineteenth-century Scandinavian literature, translating a series of unpublished works in Italy, including: Hans Jæger, La bohème di Kristiania (2020); Ola Hansson, Sensitiva amorosa (2023) and the recent Herman Bang, Generazioni senza Speranza (2025). He also published a poetic anthology by Nobel Prize winner Knut Hamsun, Il coro selvaggio (2022).
