Jill is seventeen years old and longs to abandon
herself. When her boyfriend stops having
sex with her, she falls in love with a man who is
far older than her. They have an affair based on
secret meetings. The distance between them in
age and social position leads to feelings of shame,
and sex turns into a power struggle. Their love is
satisfying, but also exhausting and tiring. Gradually,
their feelings dissolve.

Quits is a novel about loss of innocence, yearning
for sexual satisfaction and about downfall.
