Athalie Lango and Inka Nuorgam found themselves wanting more children’s books in Sámi that also had sound. They started working on the character Elle Minná, a little girl who loves to yoik. So far, this has resulted in two children’s books featuring traditional yoiks: the debut book Elle Minná duoddaris – Elle Minná’s Plateau (2021) and Elle Minná murjemin (2023). In 2026 their third book will be published; Elle Minná beassážat (Elle Minná`s Easter).
