The bumblebee Mille loves the summer's myriad of colors, sounds and flavors. Day in and day out she flies over a meadow full of flowers and animals. Gradually the flowers wither, the tree puts on its autumn coat and the wind blows right through the little bumblebee's body. Mille is all alone. She is freezing and scared. With her last strength she manages to escape into a hole high up in a tree. Then she falls asleep.
When she wakes up, Mille is no longer alone. In the hole also lives the spider Spindella.
