Maria Parr (b. 1981) has a master’s degree in Nordic languages and literature. She is considered the most important children's book author in Norway and is often considered a modern Astrid Lindgren. her books are translated into 36 languages and she has recieved awards both at home and abroad.

Åshild Irgens (b. 1976) is an illustrator and graphic designer. She has collaborated with Maria Parr since 2009.
