Elle Minná is on her way to visit her grandmother and grandfather with her sled reindeer – Muzetčuoivvat – when a storm hits. How will she find her way to her grandparents? Luckily, she meets a fox who shows her the way. But is following the fox’s advice really such a good idea? After all, it is the slyest creature in the forest … During the journey, the sled sinks into the snow, and she hears a loud crack. What’s going to happen now?, Elle Minná wonders fearfully.

Athalie Lango and Inka Nuorgam found themselves wanting more children’s books in Sámi that also had sound. They started working on the character Elle Minná, a little girl who loves to joik. So far, this has resulted in two children’s books featuring traditional joiks: the debut book Elle Minná duoddaris (2021) and Elle Minná murjemin (2023).
