I am a Norwegian to French literary translator and have been based in Norway since 1983, in Oslo since 1989. Originally from France, I took a BA in German language, literature and culture at the University of Rouen. Then I moved to Germany and studied Norwegian language and culture for two years at the University of Münster. Afterwards I moved to Norway and took a BA in French at the University of Oslo, specialising in translation. Before I began to translate novels, I worked as a teacher at the French School in Oslo for many years.
I am also a member of the Norwegian Association of Literary Translators.
