The people in this book have made homes out of objects that somehow say a lot about who they are. Also the way that they live their lives in these strange homes, tell various tales of creativity, compromise and of dreams coming true. The texts are nonsense limericks. The title is a pun pointing at both the homes themselves and at the informal form of the typical house poems.
