Bjørn F. Rørvik
The Christmas Bailiff

The Christmas Bailiff (Julefuten) is the eleventh book about Fox and Piglet.

This time they end up in the middle of the sillywinkles Christmas celebrations and get to witness the traditional presentation of cake to the Christmas bailiff himself. Every day throughout December the Christmas bailiff comes out of the forest and collects the cake left for him by the sillywinkles.

Fox and Piglet become increasingly intrigued by who this Christmas bailiff might be and therefore decide to follow him. His tracks lead through the forest and straight to the cave of Papp the sillyfart. Is the Christmas bailiff friends with Papp? Or is there another explanation?

Sumptuous, wondrous and lively pre-Christmas book for children of all ages.

‘The story is wonderfully original, but also very familiar. [...] Few children’s book authors are as hilariously inventive as Bjørn F. Rørvik. [...] In the story of The Christmas Bailiff, he also uses wordplay and double meanings that are probably as much of a joy for the adult doing the reading – and this is undoubtedly a book to be read aloud!’
